20' Container Modified for mobile office for local telecom company in Atlanta, GA
|
I get a lot of phone calls from folks that want to make a
used storage container into a storm or temporary shelter. Containers are like big steel legos, so they are ideal for all types of modifications. Windows and doors can be added to shipping containers. We run electricity, lights, heat and ac into conex containers.
I only have one point to offer caution:
be careful that the container remains safe. Often times I hear that someone wants to bury a container for a shelter. I always tell my customers to be careful. Containers are designed to hold weight on the corners, not hold weight on sides or roof. I suspect that many customers reinforce these units to hold additional weight and go ahead any bury then anyway. If you are considering creating a storm shelter, please do so safely. If I can be of assistance, please call me at 678-380-9980.
