What's the difference between a used refurbished shipping container & a used painted shipping container?

Great question!

After 23 years of painting and refurbishing containers we have developed the following process. Please understand our standards might not be the same as others in our industry.

First, we begin with a used, weathertight, inspected shipping container. Our containers will have solid floors, working doors and no holes. They will have some surface rust, dents and dings and might have been patched. These containers should keep out weather and vermin. The photo below is pretty typical.
Used Weathertight Containers look Great with an Atlas Paint or Refurbishment Treatment!

Painted containers have all old decals removed, we acid power wash the conex and we spray the outside. We usually used gray or tan, but do offer custom container colors. Please ask for pricing for custom colors.

Atlas Refurbished Containers require more prep work and will provide a longer lasting result. Our process includes the following treatment:
  • Buff off surface rust-we treat the doors and roof too
  • Remove all old decals
  • Acid pressure wash-we used a generous amount of product to ensure a clean surface
  • Spray a primer coat
  • Spray industrial enamel paint inside and outside of the shipping container pods
We do not skimp on chemicals, paint or labor. We use exactly the same treatment for our own rental fleet. Did you know that nationally know storage companies have hired us to paint their rental fleets? After 23 years of service-we do it right the first time.

Custom colors are available. We deliver across the SE or load your driver at our yard.

Pricing is out of our Atlanta, GA shipping container shop and is subject to change based on market price. Please call for a written or verbal quote.

  2. I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the page layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
